BEAUTIFUL BLACKBIRD CHILDREN’S BOOK FESTIVAL 2021-2022

Best Users: Public Librarians, School Librarians, Educators, Home Learning, Community Organizers
Best Audience: Children Grades 00-05

In honor of the legacy of Black children’s book creator Ashley Bryan and his classic picture book Beautiful Blackbird, the festival brings you a celebration of books and creators from across the African Diaspora. Each book and each read aloud, interview, arts activity, and more declares, in Ashley’s words, “Black is beautiful!”
